Been trying to switch my map lights on my rear view mirror to LEDs. Sylvannia says I need bulb type - 211-2. This looks like a festoon style bulb etc etc. Cross ref with SuperBrightLEDs.com and they use the following 4410 style bulb (link: http://superbrightleds.com/festoon.html Second one on the list)

The problem is when I popped the glass off the RVM the bulb looks like a wedge style bulb instead. Im kinda confused about this. Is this not a map light? Or where exactly would these festoon bulbs go cause i dont see a need to send them back and theyre really cool looking.

Does anyone have the standard number for this particular bulb type??

***One more thing. I know I could be using the search function on this one but work ontop of a sinus infection makes me grumpy... Does anyone know the bulb type to swap out the instrument cluster lights? Green doesnt look too hot with a blue glowing interior. Thanks!

You have stepped over the line. You are obsessed with lighting.

(and there is nothing wrong with that)

Yea its getting kinda twisted. I figure if I cant mod the engine like I did my truck (MSD, U-Drive Pulleys, Flex Fan, etc) I'll do what I can to make the rest of the car unique. Only problem is next year at Carlisle my bring will look dang near stock... until the sun goes down

Bright......really, really bright!

I ran into this when I was changing one of my maplights on the mirror in my Sebring. Turned out that the manual didn't offer the convertible lighting, only sedan and coupe. You've got to go to the bulb manufacturer and find out the designation on the 168 bulb base, then you should be able to cross to a proper connector.

Ok sweet we got the map lights picked out. Going with SuperBrighLEDs.com Blue6LED bulbs in the rear view mirror. Anyone have any idea of what bulb is in the light on the back of the center console and the dash lights? Looking to knock these out in one order then I can start on the underglow kit.

Although, with LED's you'll lose the cool dimming feature where they slowly turn off....

LEDs also dim.
I tried to redo my Gentex mirror with White LED's instead of the soft yellow hue that comes stock, but ended up breaking it. LED's wouldn't turn off, and the autodim feature woudldn't turn on. SO I bought a bluetooth mirror with built-in display, and added in a dome light myself. SUPER BRIGHT AT NIGHT, and flush mounted nicely. hehe, even dims
